Unplugged Night: Candle Refill Workshop (BYO Jar!)

Welcome to Unplugged Nights, our new series of analog workshops designed to get you off your phone and into making something with your hands! Hang out with good people, get crafty, and take a little break from the usual noise.

What we're making: 100% soy wax candles! You’ll explore a curated selection of premium fragrance oils, learn the basics of scent blending, and create your own custom-scented candle to take home that night. (Note: Your candle will need to cure at home for 7 days before burning). We’ll guide you through the process of choosing complementary notes so you can design a custom scent that feels uniquely yours. Whether you’re creating the candle for yourself, giving it away as a gift, or just wanting to enjoy a creative night out, this workshop is the perfect way to unwind and connect with fragrance in a new way!

Jar Guidelines: Bring your own! The invitation is to fill an item of your own with candle wax, but we will also have jars available for purchase if you forget. Be sure the jar is either ceramic or glass, has thick walls, and has no chips or cracks. All other materials provided!

Jar Sizing: Everyone's jar will be slightly different in size, so purchase the ticket that corresponds to your jar size. If you're not quite sure, purchase the Small size and we'll settle up after class based on the materials you end up using!

• NOTE: XL candles take a bit longer to dry, so you may need to wait an extra 15-30 min after class, or we can arrange pickup at a later date!

A note on unplugging: We know unplugging looks different for everyone, so you can choose what works best for you! Use our communal Brick device to block whichever apps you’d rather not be tempted by during the workshop, leave your phone in our phone basket, or simply keep it tucked away if you need to stay reachable. There’s no pressure to be completely unreachable; we just ask that your devices stay put during the workshop, and that you step outside the studio if you need to take a call or respond to a message. The goal is simply to create a space where everyone can enjoy being a little more present, creative, and offline for the night.
