For online shop orders: You can expect to receive your order in 2 - 12 business days, depending on the shipping speed you selected at checkout. If you can't remember what you selected, it will be in your order confirmation email! For bulk/custom candles orders: We'll give you an exact ETA when your order is placed!

If you'd rather not ship your order, we offer free pickup at our Westbrook, Maine studio. You’ll save money on shipping costs, AND you’ll stop unnecessary packing & shipping materials from entering the environment. It’s a win win! Orders are typically ready for pickup within 7 business days. Once your order is ready for pickup, we'll send you an email notification letting you know the next available pickup slots.

Each candle we make is hand-poured with 100% soy wax, blended with essential oil-infused fragrances, and finished off with cotton wicks. We use soy wax because it means cleaner burning - no toxins or pollutants that can be harmful or trigger allergies. Regular paraffin candles can contain petrol-carbon soot, and we're not about that. On top of that, our soy wax candles can burn up to 50% longer than paraffin candles. Soy wax is beautifully imperfect, so each candle will slightly vary in consistency. Don't worry, this is how nature intended it!

Great news! You've already taken the first step by buying our 100% soy wax candles, which can burn up to 50% longer than candles made from the standard paraffin wax. We also recommend following our care instructions,(https://www.underdogcandles.com/careinstructions) but we've summarized for you here: • Be sure to burn your candle for at least 1 hour each time. That way, the wax will melt all the way to the edges of the vessel, so your candle doesn't "tunnel." Tunneling is the worst, because not all the wax gets used and your candle won't live as long! • Trim that wick! If it's longer than 1/4" at any time, it needs a haircut. When trimmed to the appropriate height, not only will your candles last longer, they’ll also burn better and be more fragrant in comparison to candle wicks that are not properly cared for.
